While vacationing in Australia, I tandem skydived with
an instructor. A wind shear threw our parachute off
course and we were hurled to the ground. As a result,
I suffered a compound fracture (when bone pierces
skin) of the right femur. After spending 4 months
with a physical therapist, becoming disgruntled and
dissatisfied with the rate of progress, I contacted
Jason. Within 2 months I went from hobbling slowly
up stairs with a severe limp to jogging up the stairs
without a limp. I now have the ability to balance
and stabilize myself once again.
* ProActive note: We now have her jogging on the
treadmill, continually strengthening her core and
leg musculature as well as re-developing her balance
and stability.
